For the average American, the largest source of radiation exposure from human activities has to be chosen from the given options.

Concept Introduction:

Radiation comes from natural source and artificial source.  Radiation cannot be felt, heard, smelt etc.  When a person is exposed to radiation, many harmful effects can occur depending upon the nature of the radiation.  Background radiation is the one that comes from natural sources.  The living organisms are continuously exposed to background radiation.  Apart from natural sources man-made sources are also there which gives out radiations.
