Concept Introduction:
There are generally two types of forces exist in matter – Cohesive force and Adhesive force.
Cohesive forces are the attractive forces that exist between the same molecules of a liquid. Adhesive forces are the forces of attraction between the molecules of a liquid and the molecules of material of the container it is being in contact with.
