Introduction:
When homozygous parents with dominant and recessive traits are crossed, they produce F1 progeny in the ratio 3:1, which means that out of four offspring, 3 are dominant and 1 is recessive. The dominant genes are denoted by capital letters and recessive genes are denoted by small letters.
