Performance evaluation test:

• • Performance evaluation test is the process to determine the speed, responsiveness and stability of a network, computer, software program or device under a workload.
• • In other words, it is the process to determine whether the system is performing at an optimal level by assessing the system’s resources and outputs.
• • There are some parameters that are used to evaluate the performance of the system and they are:

  • ○ Latency
  • ○ Speed
  • ○ Throughput
  • ○ Bandwidth
• • Response time: the total time lapse between the completion of any inquiry or demand made on a system resource and the receipt of a response.
• • Latency: the time taken to communicate the message spends travelling the geographical distance before it reaches to its desired destination.
