Introduction:
The neurons of the brain do not touch each other; the gap between the neurons is called as the synapse. Neurotransmitters are special molecules that carry messages between the neurons. These are small organic molecules secreted by a neuron in response to a nerve signal reaching the axon terminal, which has a particular effect on acceptance of the cell’s physiology. These are organic molecules that are released by exocytosis that binds to the specific receptors of the receiving cell.
