EPS can be used as a tool for making investment decisions due to the following reasons:

  • EPS is the amount earned by each share, therefore, EPS is a tool to anayze a company’s earnings and growth potential.
  • In caseEPS is sufficient then the investors can expect dividend.
  • Increasing trend in EPS results in increase in the market prices of the stock. This helps investors to avail gain from trading in the stock.
