How to understand team management and handling emotional contagion of employees with negative emotions?

Any team consists of people from various backgrounds and understandings. This might vary from person to person. As a Manager it is very important to understand the team management especially when there are negative emotions from employees that are pooling around.

It is very common that anywhere we have these kind of people who influence others with their negative approach and emotions. They are the biggest threat for any process and organization. As a manager you have to be careful in handling these people because if not handled effectively at right time this will lead to disasters around.

Steps to be followed in handling team members with negative emotions:

  1. Identify: These people cannot be identified easily so have to be extremely careful and sensible in identifying them. Normally their feelings and emotions are conveyed thru other people creating a wrong impact on them. So when you do a analysis carefully observe people and take decisions accordingly.
  2. Observe: Once you identified observe them very closely to understand their activities and approach. Generally these kind of people are very fickle minded and do not focus on any activity. Whenever anything comes in as new task or activity their first reaction will be negative...
