Explanation of Solution

Explanation

When a strong base is titrated by a strong acid, then initially the solution has a high value of pH. This high value of pH is due to the presence of a strong base in the solution. For example if Sodium hydroxide is present in the solution, then it undergoes complete dissociation and due to presence of OH the solution shows a high pH value. Now, when the solution reaches the equivalence point, then number of moles of titrant added is equal to the number of moles of analyte present in the solution. Therefore, the pH at this point is equal to 7.0
