Introduction:

The digestive system is an organ system consisting of organs that convert food into energy. It is made up of alimentary canal or gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) comprising of mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Additionally, accessory organs are present to facilitate digestion. The accessory organs include salivary glands, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas.
