Introduction:
The DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is the genetic material which gets transferred from one generation to another. This finding was confirmed by the Hershey and Chase experiment, which rejected the idea that protein is the genetic material in living organisms. Thereafter, Watson and Crick gave the first three-dimensional structure of DNA.
