Given information:

The angle of friction ϕ is 0°.

The undrained cohesion cu is 34kN/m2.

The inclination β angle is 60°.

The unit weight γ of the saturated clay is 17kN/m3.

Calculation:

Determine the critical height Hcr using the formula.

Hcr=cuγm

Here, m is the stability number.

Take the stability number for the inclination β angle of 60° as 0.195
