The boiling point of compounds relies upon the molecular weight and intermolecular forces present in the compounds. The intermolecular forces are the forces that exist between two or more molecules. Due to strong intermolecular forces, the molecule will require more energy to break the bonds. The compounds that have ionic bonding and hydrogen bonding possess high boiling point.

Explanation

The species Nel has lowest boiling point as compared to the other given species. It is due to the stable electronic configuration of neon element. The neon atoms are combined with each other by weak intermolecular forces. Hence, it is very easy to overcome the intermolecular forces of Nel, which results in low boiling point.

The dipole-dipole forces are stronger than that of dispersion forces. The molecules of COl and N2l have dipole-dipole and dispersion forces respectively. As a result, the boiling point of COl is higher as compared to N2l because more energy is required to overcome dipole-dipole forces
