Consider flexural rigidity *EI* of the beam is constant.

Show the free body diagram of the entire beam as in Figure 1.

Calculate the relative stiffness *AB* of the beam as below:

Calculate the relative stiffness *BC* of the beam as below:

In the above beam, only joint *B* is free to rotate. Hence, calculate the distribution factor at joint *B*.

Calculate the distribution factor *AB* of the beam.

Substitute

Calculate the distribution factor *BC* of the beam.

Check for sum of distribution factor as below:

Calculate the fixed end moment for *AB*.

Calculate the fixed end moment for *BA*.

Calculate the fixed end moment for *BC*.
