Introduction:

Human Resource Management can be simply defined as the process of handling the employees in an organization by the mean of achieving organizational goals and objectives. This can involve hiring, firing, training and motivating employees. Human resource management up to now has been evolved under four waves.

Explanation of Solution

The first wave is Human Resource Administration. This focused mainly on the administrative personnel on the HR department such as regulatory compliance, terms and conditions and other rules and regulatory part of HR. presently, this is mainly outsourced or provided to technology to handle the administrative part.

Wave 2 is known as HR practices, where HR is focused more on design and innovation. They consisted of areas such as compensation, learning, sourcing and communication. This is where the interaction among professionals took place.

Wave 3 also known as HR stratergy, focused on integrating the stratergy of overall human resources with the overall business strategies. At this stage, work was prioritized on how to use resources the best.

Finally, stage 4 also known as HR outside in, where HR integrates into the business and functions at a part of the business. This is the stage that is used in the present where they also participate in the effects of investor confidence, company reputation and customer share.
