Introduction: Diabetes is a metabolic disease related to high blood sugar level. There are two types of diabetes:

  1. 1. Type I diabetes in which the body fails to produce insulin due to the body’s own immune system destroying it.
  2. 2. Type II diabetes develops insulin resistance slowly over the time due to various reasons such as obesity, consuming unhealthy diet, and lack of physical activity.
Explanation

In prediabetic condition, the individuals will have high blood glucose levels as compared to normal ones but much lower than the range required for classification as diabetes. Pre-diabetes has no sign and symptoms.

There are two types of conditions, one is Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), where the blood glucose level is higher than normal but not more than that of diabeties level. The second one is Impaired Fasting Glucose (IFG), where blood glucose levels are escalated in the fasting state but not high enough to be classified as diabeties. Individuals with prediabetic conditions are at higher risk of developing type II diabeties and cardiovascular diseases...
