Generally, athletes do vigorous exercises for developing physical strength and stamina. Research has described that the body fat level of 11% is the “critical level” for the menstruation to begin. The levels of fat vary (4%) between healthy females and active females. Amenorrhea might be stimulated due to vigorous exercises. This suggests the human body needs a particular amount of fat for regular menstruation to occur. When the level of fat in a female body drops below the normal range, the normal menstrual cycle ceases.
