Rewrite the expression in terms of R.

R=(ΔV)2P

Substitute 120V for ΔV and 60.0W for P .

R=(120V)2(60.0W)=240Ω

Thus, the resistors of each of the three bulbs is 240Ω .

The equivalent resistance of the circuit connected in the parallel combination of R2 and R3 is in series with R1 is,
