To provide: An example of how evolutionary hypotheses are tested experimentally.
Introduction: Scientists give some hypotheses which are the proposed description without any actual experimentation. These hypotheses are then tested experimentally. Once upon a time it was hypothesized that the predator preferences drive the evolution of size in guppies. The numbers of predators in an area causes the changes in the species to evolve.
