The radiolabeling with 14CO2 in the pyruvate carboxylase.
Introduction:
Pyruvate carboxylase converts pyruvate to oxaloacetate adding CO2 using ATP energy. The oxaloacetate will react with an acetyl CoA group which enters the TCA cycle in order to produce citrate.
