Concept Introduction:
When delievered radiation becomes much higher than background level of radiation, the damage can be penetrated to a cell’s natural defenses, which leads to genetic and somatic damage.
The radiation is the energy comes from radioactive decay which has high frequency and can damage the cell of human and considered as harm full for the human beings.
Somatic damage is the tissue or cell damage appeared by radiation and results in destroying the cell level to organs. When the UV or gamma radiation ranges between 200 to 300 Rads then it might results in tanning like damages on the skin with heavy loss of hair. At range greater than 1, 000 Rads, it might causes gastrointestinal system upset, along with nausea, imbalancing of electrolyte and other symptoms.
