To examine: Whether the statement “Vitamin K levels present in dark green vegetables may interfere with warfarin (anti-coagulant) therapy” is true or false.
Introduction: Vitamin K is naturally found in green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, lettuce, and spinach. It helps in blood clotting by its carboxylation reaction and by playing a vital role in synthesis of blood-clotting proteins. Warfarin (anti-coagulant) or coumadin act as blood-thinners.
