Explanation of Solution

The elevator is initially at rest. It starts accelerating with constant acceleration from zero velocity to a certain constant velocity. Then it moves with this constant velocity for some time and finally it slows down with a constant deceleration until it stop at the top floor.

The velocity verses time graph of the elevator moving from ground floor to the top floor of a building is shown in the figure below.
