The system of equations are dxdt=|x|siny and dydt=|y|cosx .

Formulas used:

  • Atequilibrium, all the rates are equal to zero. The equilibrium point is alsosolution of the system.

Calculation:

Solve for equilibrium points.

That is solve for dxdt=0 and dydt=0

dxdy=0|x|siny=0|x|=0  or   siny=0x=0   or    y=0......(1)

Similarly,

  dydx=0|y|cosx=0|y|=0 or  cosx=0y=0   or  x=(π/2)+2πn,(3π/2)+2πn

Hence, one solution of the system is x=0,y=0  .
