The five general classes of the blood vessels include arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules and veins. The smallest diameter blood vessels are called as the arterioles. The movement and the circulation of the blood take place from arterioles to the capillaries. The venules are formed from the capillaries, which join to form the veins in the body.
