Explanation of Solution

Electromagnetic wave:

Electromagnetic waves are referred to quickly moving fields that are produced by accelerated charges or varying electric currents resulting in magnetic field and electric field. They do not depend on the medium through which they travel but depend on the source alone. They are characterized by their frequency (υ) or wavelength (λ).

Sound waves are produced by disturbances. The difference between the sound wave and the electromagnetic wave is that sound waves cannot travel in vacuum, whereas the electromagnetic waves can travel in vacuum medium.
