Interpretation:
The balanced chemical equation for the conversion of pyruvate to lactate has to be written.
Concept Introduction:
On enough availability of oxygen, the glycolysis is carried out while under lack of oxygen or anaerobic conditions lactate fermentation takes place. In lactate fermentation, pyruvate converts into lactate. Then lactate reoxidizes NADH and continues the glycolysis again.
