Concept Introduction:
Myeloproliferative neoplasms are diseases that form number of platelets, red and white blood cells using the bone marrow which generally forms blood stem cells (immature cells). A myeloidstem cell or a lymphoid cell can be formed by a blood stem cell. White blood cells are replaced by a lymphoid stem. One of the three types of the blood cells which are mature is formed from a myeloid stem cell. In myeloproliferative neoplasm, there are number of blood stem cells that combined together to form one or more types of blood cells. Due to increase in the number of extra blood cells in the body, the neoplasm slowly becomes worst.
