Interpretation:

Interpret steps of enzyme catalysis with E symbolizing enzyme and S as substrate.

Concept Introduction:

Enzyme is a proteinaceous structure and helps in catalyzing the substrate and thus act as catalyst. It helps in speeding up the reaction.

The enzyme acts on substrate and turns it into a product. With increase in concentration of enzyme the speed of reaction also increases.
