Question
Chapter 21, Problem 6SQ
Summary Introduction
Concept introduction: Most protists have chloroplast present in their cell. Through primary endosymbiosis, the first chloroplast evolved in green algae and red algae. By the secondary endosymbiosis, chloroplast had evolved in other protists. The initial chloroplasts have two membranes; they evolved through the secondary endosymbiosis process consisting of four membranes. Green algae have chloroplast that contains both chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b.
