Interpretation: The halogen which has the highest bond dissociation enthalpy is to be stated.

Concept introduction: The bond dissociation energy is the energy required to break one mole of the gas (in gaseous state) to give the separate atoms in gaseous state.

As number of bond increase, length gets shorter and bond energy increases.

Therefore,

HH bonds are fairly easy to break and makes hydrogen gas reactive.

Nitrogen has a triple bond, which takes a lot of energy to break and is pretty much inert.

Explanation

Reason for the correct option:

As we move down the group in periodic table, the size of the atom is increases from F to I. Hence, the bond distance increases from F2 to I2. The bond dissociation enthalpy decreases as the bond distance increases. Therefore, expected bond dissociation enthalpy order is F2>Cl2>Br2>I2.

However the bond-dissociation enthalpy of Cl2 is higher than F2 because the F atom is very small and hence the electron-electron repulsion between the lone-pairs of electrons are very large.

Thus the bond dissociation enthalpy follows the sequence Cl2>Br2>F2>I2
