. During protein synthesis, _________ RNA molecules attach to and transport specific amino acids to the appropriate position on the pattern provided by ________ RNA molecules.

Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Interpret and complete the statement.

‘During protein synthesis, - rna attached to and transport specific amino acid to appropriate position on pattern of − rna molecule’.

Concept Introduction:

RNA is known as ribonucleic acid and it consists of ribose sugar which is attached with nitrogenous bases and phosphate group.

Three types of RNA are present such as:

mRNA is messenger RNA which helps to transfer genetic information from RNA to proteins by linking the amino acids and for this process two other types of RNA is also required tRNA and rRNA.

rRNA is the ribosomal RNA and total 80% of RNA is present as rRNA.

tRNA is transfer RNA and acts in transferring the amino acid to mRNA. As chain gets longer but when stop codon UAA, UAG, UGA comes then chain gets terminated and a complete protein chain is produced.

Explanation

rRNA helps in synthesis of protein molecule. The tRNA gets the amino acid to mRNA present on rRNA and thus process of translation takes place. After synthesis of protein, new chain of amino acid gets detached.

The fully transcribed mRNA contains exon and introns alternatively...
