Introduction:

A mycorrhiza represents a symbiotic relationship between a plant and fungus. The term corresponds to the function of the fungus in the rhizosphere of the plant. Its significance is in soil chemistry and plant nutrition. The fungus establishes itself in the root tissue of the host plant. The colonization occurs in an intracellular fashion as in arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) or extracellular way referred to as the ectomycorrhizal fungi.
