Question
Chapter 22, Problem 12RE
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
Some similarities between the electron transport chains in chloroplast and mitochondria are to be determined.
Concept introduction:
The electron transport chain in chloroplast consists of a copper-containing molecule called plastocyanin, which links the two photosystems in photosynthesis and it is common in the mitochondrial electron transport.
Chloroplast also contains mobile electron carriers, namely, plastoquinone and pheophytin, which are also common in the mitochondrial electron transport.
