Explanation of Solution

Ovule - c. where eggs form

In plants, ovule is a part of female reproductive system. Ovules is located in ovaries and form the site of production of egg cells. After fertilization, ovule develops to form a seed that contains nucellus, protective coat, and plant embryo (female gametophyte).

Cuticle - h. secreted waxy layer

Cuticle is the waxy protective outer covering the epidermal cells of leaves and other parts including the aerial plant parts. It is impermeable to water and restricts entry of pathogens. It prevents water loss due to evaporation. It consists of stomatal pores across it, which contribute in exchange of gases by opening or conserve water in response to water availability by closing.

Gametophyte - a. gamete-producing body

The plants are multicellular, photosynthetic eukaryotes on land. They are close to green algae as they have cellulosic cell walls, chloroplasts, and store starch. During diploid generation, sporophyte produces spores and it germinates and grows to the next haploid generation, gametophyte that produces the gametes.

Sporophyte - b. spore-producing body

Plants have alternation of generations that is a haploid generation (gametophyte) alternates with a diploid generation (sporophyte)...
