Immunoglobulins.

Responsible for antibody-mediated immunity.

Production of lymphocytes.

Saclike chamber of the thoracic duct.

Largest lymphatic organ in the body.

Introduction:

The plasma cells are produced as a result of the differentiation of the B cells. The B cells are the type of immune cells, which attains its maturity in the bone marrow itself after its production. The B cells further classified as the plasma and the memory cells.

Explanation of Solution

The plasma cells are also referred to as plasmocytes. The immature B cells possess different receptors for the interaction in order to differentiate. For example, in the T cell-dependent B cell activation, the interaction between B7 present on the B cell and CD28 (cluster of differentiation 28) results in the activation of the T cell (TH cell).

Further, as a result, B cell starts to express the surface receptors for various cytokine molecules, such as IL-2 (interleukin 2), IL-5, and IL-4. These signals bind to the B cell surface receptor and send the signal to the B cell to differentiate. The B cells, then differentiated as the memory and the plasma cells. The plasma cells produces the antibodies. The plasma cells formed are of two different types, one type of plasma cell is specialized only for the production of IgM (immunoglobulin M), while the other plasma cell is capable of producing different types of immunoglobulin.

Conclusion

Therefore, it can be concluded that the plasma cells can be correctly matched with option (c) produce antibodies.
