The origin of the drug defines how and where it had been derived. The three drugs can be enumerated as

• Natural origin
• Chemical derivative of natural product
• Synthetic product

Explanation of Solution

Drugs are categories on the basis of their origin i.e. from where they have been derived. The origin of drug can be;

• Natural origin
• Chemical derivative of natural product
• Synthetic product

If the drug originates naturally then it's called natural originated drug, the drugs which has been prepared from the derivate of natural product then they're called Chemical derivative of natural product and if drugs are synthesized within the laboratory using various chemical reactions then they are called synthetically originated drug.

Conclusion:

Therefore, there are three origins of drug namely natural origin, chemical derivative of natural product and synthetic origin.
