Glucose Transporter Type $4$ $\left(\text{GLUT4}\right)$ is an insulin-regulated protein that transports glucose. It is present in the adipose tissues, cardiac muscles, and skeletal muscles.

Insulin is a peptide hormone secreted by the pancreas, while epinephrine (adrenaline) is a neurotransmitter and a hormone that is normally synthesized by the adrenal glands and some neurons.
