# 1–4 Find the linearization L ( x ) of the function at a. f ( x ) = sin x ,  a= π /6

To determine

To find:

The linearization L(x) of the function at a = π6

Explanation

1) Formula:

i. Lx=fa+f '(a)(x-a)

ii.

ddxsinx=cosx

2) Given:

fx=sinx, a=π6

3) Calculation:

Substitute x = a, to find f (a)

fa=sina,

Now substitute a=π6  in f (a)

fπ6=sinπ6 =12

By applying the formula,

ddxsinx=cosx<
