To explain: The reason for which the levels of mercury vary among different species of fishes to the person.

Introduction: Mercury is an inorganic compound obtained from mining and burning of coal. The accumulation of mercury at very low levels in living organisms is considered highly toxic as it affects the kidney and the neurological systems. The process by which it gets passed on to different trophic levels is called as biomagnification.
