Program Plan Intro

NSA is National Security Agency which is founded in 1952 used by U.S intelligence which is responsible for global monitoring, decoding, translating the data and analyzing the information and data for foreign intelligence. U.S Congress gives permission to collect phone subscriber data under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Advance in information technology helps the agency to analyze larger volumes of phone, internet traffic and financial data in order to search for the terrorist activities. It also launched data collection effort called PRISM in 200t which gathers information from the Internet communications companies such as Google and Apple.

Explanation of Solution

Pros of NSA:

• NSA tries to protect the U.S country form the terrorist attack. To process this action, they gathers the private information of numerous users which is transferred over the internet.
• They also collects the communication of the foreign countries in order to protect them from the attack.
• Along with the help of FISA, they are able to collect information of other countries which makes them easier to track the possibility of attack.

Cons of NSA:

• NSA is tracing the day to day information without the knowledge of the people.
• They even gather record of the email ids, personal conversation, web searches and also the credit card information of the people.
• This creates the negative impact among the people towards any company or agencies and also feels that they were missing their privacy.
