Summary Introduction

To examine: Whether the statement “Most of the treatments for PMS are based on the prevention of ovulation” is true or false.

Introduction: Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a physiological problem that begins after ovulation and ends with menstrual bleeding (luteal phase). It is usually characterized by psychological changes such as depression, irritability, anxiety, social withdrawal, and physical changes such as tender breasts, abdominal bloating, swelling, and headache that can disrupt daily life. The symptoms of PMS disappear after the onset of menstruation usually within two days and return in the next luteal phase.
