Concept explainers
Assume the following variables are defined:
int age;
double pay;
char section;
Write a single cin statement that will read input into each of these variables.
Explanation of Solution
“cin” statement:
“cin” is the standard input stream that is used together with the extraction operator “>>” to process the formatted input.
Syntax:
Syntax to read input by using “cin” statement:
cin >> variable1 >> variable2;
- In the above statement, “cin” is a predefined keyword and “variable” is the name of the variable to read value from the user.
Single “cin” statement to read input:
/* input statement to get three input using single line */
cin >> age >> pay >> section;
The above statement is used to get three inputs “age”, “pay” and “section” from the user by using a single “cin” statement.

- For the following declaration statements, determine if the statement is valid or invalid, if invalid indicate why. a) int My Age; b) double double_1; c) double Income Tax; d) float gpa = 3.90; e) String Name = ‘Joe’; f) Char MI = M; g) Char Letter = “B”; h) double static; i) double Salary$ = 0.0; j) int _VarM;arrow_forwardusing void functions 1. Complete the program shown below. Note: do not omit the comments a) You will write a void function to get a positive integer between 1 and 12 inclusive. The twelve numbers represent the months of the year. The user will be asked to enter an integer between 1 and 12 inclusive. If the number entered by the user is not within range, an appropriate error message will be displayed, and the user will be asked to try again until a valid number is entered. b) You will write a void function to print the month number and the month name with an appropriate message. Consider a good layout when displaying the output. c) You will also complete the function main by making a call to the function GetMonthNumber with an appropriate argument and by making a call to the function DisplayMonth with an appropriate argument d) Add a loop to allow the program to repeat, allowing the user to continue. Consider proper indentation and alignment of the statements. e) Output your name as…arrow_forwardComplete the code: #include<iostream> using namespace std; void main() { // Fill in the code to declare the printSum function. int i = 4, j = 5; // Fill in the code to invoke the printSum function to display the sum of i and j. } void printSum(int i, int j) { // Fill in the code here to display the sum of i and j. }explain pleasearrow_forward
