The diapsid lineage of amniotes is Archosaurs. The living representatives of this class include crocodilians and birds. The extinct members of the group are dinosaurs and pterosaurs. The ancestor for these three members of the group is common. Hence, the probability of some common traits being shared among these members is higher.
