Introduction:
Plants have two types of tissues: simple tissues and complex tissues. Simple tissues are composed of same type of cells that work in coordination to perform the same function whereas the complex tissues are composed of more than one type of cells, which all together perform the same function. Parenchyma, sclerenchyma, and collenchyma are simple tissues whereas xylem and phloem are complex tissues.
