Discuss Concepts So-called systemic insecticides often are mixed with water and applied to the soil in which a plant grows. The chemicals are effective against sucking insects no matter which plant tissue the insects attack, but often do not work as well against chewing insects. Propose a reason for this difference.

Summary Introduction

To review:

The reason for systematic insecticides not working properly against the chewing insects.

Introduction:

Insecticides are the substances that are used to kill the insects feeding on plant sap. The using of insecticides in a large amount is harmful to our health as well as for the growth of the plants. For the management of the use of insecticides various approaches are taken like integrated pest control (IPC).

Explanation

Insecticides are used to kill the insects, which feed on plants. In the word systematic insecticides, the word ‘systematic’ means the insecticides are soluble in water that it can be absorbed by the cells of the plants properly and are able to kill the insects feeding on the plant. The systematic insecticides are readily absorbed by the plant body from the soil and work properly to kill sucking insects in the plant body.

But the systematic insecticides are not effective against the chewing insects feeding on the plant body...
