The animals have many types of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, serotonin, glutamate, and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters involved in many functions like voluntary movement, regulation of blood pressure, memory.

Pediatric neurotransmitter disease is a group of genetic disorders related to synthesis, metabolism, and catabolism of neurotransmitters in children. One of the examples of this type of diseases is tyrosine hydroxylase deficiency.

The tyrosine hydroxylase is an enzyme that is involved in the biosynthesis of a group of neurotransmitters known as catecholamine from amino acid tyrosine. The neurotransmitters like dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine are together known as catecholamine.
