Introduction

Ever since ADHD and ADD were recognized as legitimate illnesses by the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual in the last two decades, there have been many medications both suitable and effective for treating these disorders to come on the market. These drugs, known as stimulants, actually have the opposite effect on children, working to calm them and helping them to think clearly and concentrate better throughout the day.
