Explanation of Solution

Internet: - Internet is the largest global network or interconnection of computer networks that uses the internet protocol suite to link devices. It is the network of all the networks which consists of private, public, academic, business, and government networks local to global scope.

The three ways to connect to the Internet with their advantages and disadvantages are as follows: -

  • Dial up- This is an Internet service through which you can establish a connection with Internet through a telephone line. It requires a telephone line to connect with the modem in your computer, and its other end should be connected in the phone jack and to configure the computer to dial a specific number is required which is provided by Internet service provider. After the configuration, you are able to access the Internet on your computer device.

Advantages of Dial up Internet access: -

  1. The Dial up Internet connectivity have low cost.
  2. In Dial up connectivity IP address keep on changing. So, it is a more secure approach of Internet connectivity.

Disadvantages of Dial up Internet access: -

  1. Speed Problem: - The data transmission rate is low about 56Kbps or less.
  2. Demand a phone line − for a dial up connection, a permanent phone line requires.
  • Broadband: - Broadband is the wide bandwidth data transmission, this is a kind of Internet service which let you to connect to the Internet via broadband like BSNL, Airtel...
