Summary Introduction
To review:
In addition to corticosteroid therapy, the factor in Fick’s law that was used therapeutically to improve the patient’s oxygenation status.
Introduction:
In the given case, a 78-year-old woman is brought into the hospital. She has alveolar fibrosis and thickening. An X-ray image of the patient’s lungs was taken. An increase in the alveolar density was found. This was caused by the lung fibrosis condition. Her heart rate was recorded as 105 beats per minute and her respiratory rate was 24 breaths per minute.
