The two main cause of horizontal variation in air pressure is thermal and dynamic. Thermal is defined by the air temperature and dynamic is closely related to atmospheric air motion. The changes happened by thermal cause is easy to find out the changes that results from the unequal distribution of insolation, differential heating of land and water, and the variations in albedos on the Earth’s surface.

The pressure and density of a gas is varying inversely with its temperature.  Daytime heating warms the air that is in contact with the Earth’s surface which causes the volume of air to expand and thus, decreases in the density. The density of air increases and the volume decreases when the air becomes cold, which causes air to sink and increase in atmospheric pressure...
